How Supacompare Works
Supacompare is one of the fastest growing comparison sites in the UK and our aim is to take the hassle out of finding the best deal for you on a range of products and services including credit cards, mobile phones and broadband right through to travel insurance and breakdown cover. We want to help you find the best solution for you whether you are looking to borrow or save money, so we have created an online service to allow you to compare many different products simply and effectively.
As a company we're privately owned and don't have any links with banks, insurers or any of the other financial and non-financial companies we include on the site.
We are not a financial institution, so we will not give you individual recommendations or financial advice; but we try to give you the tools and information you need to make an informed decision about which loan, card, or insurance policy is likely to be best for you.
It is our mission that you can search various deals provided by a wide range of companies and that you understand how the different products work to enable you to make an informed choice on the one that suits you best. Our team are continuously working hard to bring new providers onto the site, so that we can provide ‘whole of market’ information, the best deals for our customers and expanding on the services that we offer. Unfortunately not every company in the market place will be included on our site for various reasons:
Not every company wants to have their products included on a comparison website
Some local or smaller companies cannot cope with the number of customers that their products would be shown to
Although our team are constantly searching for companies and deals that we can add to Supacompare, we cannot guarantee that we will have every single one
So we can’t guarantee to find you the cheapest or best deal, but we will try and help you to make good money decisions and get the best value product for your needs. We will always be open and transparent with our customers and make it clear on our comparison tables that there are other providers that you may wish to consider.
It's really important to us that you trust our comparison tables, so we make sure that each financial company we list is authorised and regulated by the FCA (like we are), so you can rest assured that we only feature legitimate providers on our site. The product information in our comparison tables is checked on a regular basis to ensure that the information presented is up to date and accurate. This information is obtained from independent sources and rates may vary depending on your financial circumstances, so while we make every effort to ensure that information is up to date, you should always confirm the terms of the offer with the product provider.
We do not recommend a product or guarantee the standard of service which the companies listed on our site provide. Unfortunately we cannot take responsibility for the information which a company may display on their own website. At Supacompare we do understand that financial matters are sometimes confusing, so we have included some guides that may help explain things in a simple way, and as we discover new information we add to our articles so that we can share it with you. If you are still unsure what to do after using our site, then we would ask that you consider getting independent advice from a qualified professional.
How We Get Paid
We offer this service to you completely free of charge, and we will never charge you for using our site. However, we do need to make money so that we can continue to find you more ways to save money and to help us grow as a business, so we want to be clear and transparent on how we do this.
The companies you see across our site and on our tables – for example lenders, insurers, energy suppliers and broadband providers - pay us a fee when you choose them from the tables or through an advert.
How we get paid depends on what product you are comparing. We either get paid a fee when you actually
switch to a provider or take out their product / service or when you click through to a provider
(i.e., before you actually buy). For a few products we are paid a ‘commission’ – simply put, a
percentage of the cost to you of product / service or policy.
This is possible because the fees we charge are small in comparison with the costs companies would have to pay to advertise on TV, or reach customers through other avenues. This is why so many choose to work with us.
